Who I Am: The Streamer Behind the Merch

I'm one of the better-known names in gaming streams, and my chat is where a lot of you first found me. Here's a short guide to the streamer behind the merch, for new viewers and old ones.

Who am I?

I'm Zack Hoyt, known online as Asmongold, an American streamer and YouTuber. I stream on Twitch, and my YouTube channel, Asmongold TV, is where you can catch up on what you missed.

How did I get started?

A friend introduced me to World of Warcraft in 2006, and I started out as a World of Warcraft streamer. When World of Warcraft Classic came out in 2019, my popularity took off, and by 2021 I was one of the largest streamers on Twitch.

What is OTK?

In 2020 I co-founded One True King, better known as OTK, a group of content creators that includes streamers such as Mizkif and Esfand. One of our designs carries the OTK flame-and-crown logo.

Have I won any awards?

Yes. I was named Best MMORPG Streamer at The Streamer Awards twice, for 2021 and for 2022.

Why wear it?

My streams are a place to hang out: the long raids, the reactions and the moments everyone quotes the next day. Wearing a design from my world is an easy way to show you were there.
